Does this annoy anyone else

Why go and get a dog without researching them and then just get rid of it like it’s nothing? If you don’t do that to your kids when why do it to your pet?

Well.... actually people do get rid of their kids when they realize they aren’t ready. Also, who cares if someone re homes their pet. it’s better than just leaving them on the street or harming them.

I've seen posts about how people have gotten their dream dog, and then they ask a whole bunch of questions pertaining to that specific breed. Like did you not do your research beforehand?

Answer

Some people don't realize they aren't pet people until they are in the midst of having a pet. It is better to rehome than put it down, put it in a kill shelter, abuse it, abandon it, ect because they aren't pet people. As someone else already commented people give their children up too when they realize they aren't "fit" or "meant" to be parents.
As glad as I am to have my wonderful little kitty, I'd really have preferred her to not have to have been just left on the street for an entire year before I found her. It would have been better if she had got rehomed than just left behind because her family moved out of the state. (I know all this due to neighbors I spoke to in the neighborhood). I love her and like I said I am so so happy to have her, but thinking about what she must've went through breaks my heart.
