FTM had a scare 34 weeks

I’m 34 weeks and this weekend we spent 5 hours in l&d being monitored for contractions and baby movement. I had contractions all night and didn’t feel much baby movement. I kept having some contractions while there but they let me go and said I’m not dilated but I’m effaced a bit and cervix is shortened. Baby was moving fine but I don’t feel a ton - which my anterior placenta doesn’t seem to help. They said I could be early. Anyone have this before? I’m trying to drink a lot of fluid to prevent all these crazy contractions.
