Does anyone baby do crazy hand movements

Question

My son gets excited or even when hes bored he does weird hand movements that are super cute but it worries me because of early signs of autism. 
He will be sitting playing by himself and start throwing his arms in the air or when hes excited and playing with a toy his arms go crazy like a penguin or just up in down like above the head to his knees while sitting. Anyone else's baby do this? Sometimes its random but usually when he is excited.

My first, who is going to be three in March, did some odd hand and wrist movements, hand flapping, etc. i got all worried too because my youngest brother is autistic. But after a time... he just phased out of it. Going through years one and two with him I learned that babies do a lot of odd things, some times obsessively for a wile, and then they just stop. Babies will go through a rocking phase, many even a head banging phase... in fact they do a ton of stuff autistic kids do. It’s a normal part of learning, growing, experiencing new things, new sensations, etc. an autistic kid will keep doing these things as the years go by, but they are doing things most babies enjoy doing as they grow. That is why it is so hard to tell if a baby is going to have autisim

My son does lots of hand flapping. I’ve never thought it was abnormal. He’s passing all milestones ahead of time.

So.. from day one my son has had jittery hand movements. They actually took his blood several times after birth to determine if it was blood sugar related. He also had terrible startle reflex until not too long ago. Even now I notice he flaps his hands or has jittery movements when he's fussy (which is like.. all the time haha). I've ALWAYS been concerned about this. However, there really is no point to majorly stressing since there's almost no way to know at this age 🤷‍♀️ trust me I've looked up the on early signs of autism and they really don't manifest until after a year at the earliest. That being said, your baby should be making eye contact, babbling or maybe saying one-syllable words, smile socially, etc. If they are doing those things, I wouldn't worry about the arm flapping until later as a lot of babies do this and can be totally normal.

I looked it up. It's actually a thing babies do. Very normal. Mine does it too. Apparently they grow out of it after awhile. It isn't until closer to the age of 2 that most doctors will start looking into signs for autism.

Mine does this too! He stopped for a period of time and is now doing it again. I just think it’s their way of expressing themselves right now.

Honestly done signs considered for early signs of autism are just normal soothing techniques for kids. They can't handle/control being over emotional so stimming like hand flapping helps but eventually becomes clapping etc. 
It could be early signs of giftedness. 
Honestly most of the times it's too early to tell. I wish they'd tell parents to stress less and enjoy this phase more.
