How did you and your significant other decide you wanted to have your first child? What aspects in life did you decide to fulfill before doing so?

Im constantly planning /thinking about beginning a family. Ive been with my s/o for almost 4 years. Im almost 21 & hes almost 23. Even though we arnt planning to do so for atleast another 2 years.... What did you do for work / finances throughout pregnancy and after? What was the schedule in your home like? Did you own a home before getting pregnant? Currently working 40-50 hours a week , graveyard shift making 16.50 a hour. Great money but i just wouldnt want to continue that job after having a baby. But shit is so expensive now days. Lol i just want to hear experiences 😊
