Is this wrong?

I am due with my 2nd in June. I told my husband the other day that I don’t think I want anyone to visit in the hospital.  I told him I don’t want to feel overwhelmed (which I can become easily due to diagnosed Social Anxiety Disorder).  He kinda laughed and said I was being ridiculous and that they weren’t there to see me.  
With my first, I did have some visitors, and I feel like some overstayed their welcome and visited for 1+ hours (mainly his mom).  So this time, I just don’t want anyone there and they can visit when I am more comfortable at home.  Is this wrong for me to do?  I just really couldn’t be bothered with entertaining ppl after giving birth.

Definitely not wrong! We only allowed very close family to visit and for no more than 30 minutes at a time.

I don't think this is wrong at all you need time to bond with your baby and for you to try to get as much rest as you can it's so much going on at the hospital it's easy to get stressed. I understand everyone wants to see the baby but they can wait until you get home and you're settled the baby's not going anywhere LOL

I explicitly said the same thing to my husband because both his parents overstayed their welcome for hours and I was in so much pain and trust me I spoke up and zero fs were given. So for the recent one I said absolutely not-our older kids came to visit and say hi to us and when he was home with the other children-my parents stopped by to help me-brought me coffee, watched the baby sleep so I could shower, etc. They were there more as support people for me rather than to see the baby.

I am 100% on board with this ! I am also not wanting any visitors this time when I am at the hospital, I am too grouchy while in labour and I would like the time we do spend in the hospital to be with just my husband and myself and our baby, we might have someone bring our 6 year old daughter to meet him but I’m not worried as she will also see him at home . 
With my first I had high bp, it wouldn’t settle down and having visitors come it made it go up, I ended up with a 3 day hospital stay. I don’t want to be in the hospital that long again unless I need a csection 🤷🏻‍♀️ to each is their own. You are giving birth, you are the patient in the hospital, it really is your decision and your husband should support that!

Not wrong at all! I’m due in January and I really don’t want people to come visit the baby while I’m in the hospital. I mean I would like some time with my baby! It’s my first time meeting her too! It’s already overwhelming.

It is not wrong. I feel like the person who just pushed a baby out or had a baby literally cut out of them gets to call the shots. Babies don't change much in a few days, and if anything they get cuter. Everyone can fucking deal with your rules or never see the baby, in my opinion.

It's your birthing experience and you get to say who comes in or if anyone comes in for that matter. Talk to your nurses tell them no visitors

Not wrong at all. FTM here due in a few weeks & I told my fiancé I don’t want more than 2 people visiting in the room at a time & no visitors after 7. He just said “okay”. lol he doesn’t care one way or another.

Nope, not wrong of you. I just had my baby and the only one in the hospital with me was my husband. I FaceTimed my family for a very short period of time when I was feeling up to it, and then my parents came to visit at the end of the week. You’re the one pushing a baby out. Do what you want when it comes to who visits

Definitely not wrong, you need to do what feels right for you. They can visit baby when and where you’re comfortable. I just did the hospital tour and was thinking about not having many visitors in labor and delivery and asking people to wait until we get settled at the mother-baby unit. You do what’s best for you :)
