When I was 8 weeks I went for a private early scan. At this they could only see a gestational sac (no yolk or fetal pole). Was advised to go to hospital next day and scan showed the same.

The sonographer and midwife did not seem concerned as it may still be early (I'm 100% sure of my dates). Now waiting until 3rd of January for a rescan. If there's no growth then it is bad news.

This week I am getting mild cramps with no bleeding and haven't bled at all so far.

Could the cramps be a good sign?? Anyone else experienced this with a positive outcome?

Only positive replies please as I am fully prepared for the worst news! All I've read about is that it results in miscarriage and would like to balance this out. For my own mental health.
