Atrial Flutter post birth

Natisha

It’s been 8 weeks since I delivered my bundle of joy and just two weeks ago I started to experience what appears to be flutters in my chest a dnd throat, shortness of breath and fatigue. Has anyone else had this issue postpartum? If so how did you get rid of it?

You need to see a dr. If you are in a flutter you may need a cardio version or medication to help you come out of a flutter. You could be feeling pvcs which feel like your heart skipping a beat which can be due to stress and caffeine. Either way see your dr so they can do an ekg.

**UPDATE** Dr did an EKG and found my PVC all out of whack placed me on a low dose med and told me I need a ton of water. Check up in 4 weeks

Were you actually diagnosed with atrial flutter? If not your symptoms could be anything (anemia comes to mind first) and you should see your doctor.

Ahh. I’d be scared too. Hopefully the doctor can help you. Postpartum does crazy things to us.

My aunts a PA she told me today it’s PCV symptoms. And I need to go in. I listened to my heart last night and it stops when the flutter hits and then kicks back in. Super scary
