I really hate asking this...soft cervix

Because I know there are a ton of variables... But yesterday at 7dpo my cervix was high and firm (nose tip) and closed. Today (8dpo) it's high, but remarkably softer. Slightly firmer than lips. CM has gone from watery to creamy. I did start taking evening primrose about 7 days ago so I'm not sure is that has effected anything yet.

AF if due between 2-6 days from now. Is this a normal event before AF? I did have a BBT dip this morning of about .4 degree
