Good Idea For A 6 Month Old Yes Or No ?

So my baby turns 6 months today 👶🏻💞 I've always wanted to buy her something for her 1/2 a year old sort of b-day , I've seen many moms do a " cake smash " photoshoot . My friend threw a birthday party and baked half of a cake for her son. I'm thinking of just buying her one of those cupcakes that have frosting on top not a regular size cupcake it's a bigger one idk if anyone has seen it , and buy a candle that has a " 6 " on it .  Okay so I'm obviously not going to let her eat it all I just want her to taste the frosting and so I can take her 6 months picture . Is this a good idea yes or no. ?

Personally, I'd wait until a year for a few different reasons.

I wouldn't only because all of the sugar in the frosting. But if you're cool with it than go with it. 
...maybe use baby sugar-free yogurt frosting instead?

I would wait or use an alternative like someone else suggested. Really at 6 months, most doctors are just recommending to try carrots and peas (& other foods of the like), I just don't think something dairy based is a good idea. I'd do your own research first, for sure.

I'd wait as well...too much sugar and ingredients that he shouldn't have at that age and the dye that is in cake, frosting, sprinkles....too risky.

Think of another alternative.
