Hi Moms! My son has a high palate and minor tongue tie. Breast feeding has been very painful. My nipples are so sore. The LC did a tongue exercise with him and said that the tongue is fine but the issue might be due to his high palate. My nipple doesn’t go far enough into his mouth so he is sucking on the nipple. I’m taking my son to see an ENT next week to see if he needs to get his tongue tie snipped to help him with better latching and sucking the milk. I was wondering if anyone else has observed a high palate in your baby and what you did to resolve the issue, if there were any issues.
