Do breastfed babies get more efficient?

My LO used to always eat for 20 minutes minimum. He's 9 weeks now and I can't get him to eat any longer than 15 minutes. Is that normal?

Yes they get really good at getting that milk out. Mine will only nurse for 5 minutes sometimes and gets about 4oz out, sometimes more sometimes less. She's a milk chugger lol

I think so, my daughter averages 10-15 mins a time whereas to begin with it would easily be 30+ 
If baby is gaining weight and putting out enough nappies you’re good ☺️

Uggggh I hope so. We are still clocking 30 minutes a breastfeed.
