Progesterone - spotting instead of AF?

Had IUI done 12/13 and my obgyn put me on 200mg of progesterone. (I’ve been on 100mg before and my period started like normal) Felt ovulation pain on 12/14 and a tugging/pinching sensation about a week later that I thought could be implantation. AF was due 12/28, and I had brown spotting when I wipe 12/29-31 and no “real” AF at all. Spotting stopped midday yesterday and now nothing, so I guess I’ve officially skipped my period. All BFNs since this weekend. Is it possible to have implantation bleeding 15 dpo? Should I stop the progesterone? Could I still be pregnant? This is driving me nuts. What do y’all think?

My doc said to stop progesterone if pregnancy test is negative 13-14dpo. I don’t get a period until several days after stopping progesterone.

I am in the exact same position. I’m 11dpo today and had light bleeding only when wiping around midnight and then a little at 7am and nothing since. Mostly a brown color. I don’t feel my normal period cramping but did have some small needle like feelings 9&10dpo. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see if it picks up or turns into a real period before stopping the progesterone.

I have been instructed to discontinue progesterone at day 14 DPO if my test is negative because progesterone can delay getting a period.

Update: Doc was closed 12/31 and 1/1 so I wasn’t able to call. Had a blood test today and I’m not pregnant. So starting Femara this cycle and trying again! Thank you all for the advice!

My doctor told me my period shouldn't start on progesterone and the light brown spotting was likely cervix irritation (it happened a few cycles when i was on it). My protocol was blood test to confirm pregnancy 14dpiui (or 14dpo) and if negative discontinue progesterone. My period would start 4-5 days later. I would talk to your doctor. Have you tested at all?

I was told to keep taking the progesterone until I get my period or a positive test. I think I’m going to call tomorrow when they reopen.
