Looking for recommendations on a handheld, cordless vacuum for cleaning up crumbs and dust, esp in the crevices of cars, car seats, high chairs, etc.

My dad just got this for Christmas and he loves it! They haul grandchildren around and dogs, so their cars need it. If you want a real vacuum for around the home then get a Dyson. Costco sells them or sometimes the Dyson website has deals on their older models when they release new ones.
