I am 5 wks 3 days today.

Last night my cramping got so bad my husband took me to the ER. Doctor tried an stomach ultrasound and didn’t see anything from there. Took my blood and did an HCG quant. My HCG levels came back as 5,500 and he referred me to take a transvaginal ultrasound this morning. He also found that I had a slight UTI so I’m on antibiotics for that for 7 days.

This morning the ultrasound technician didn’t tell us that she saw anything and that they may have me come back in a week to recheck.

Anyone dealt with this? My husband and I are a little confused as my levels were high enough that she should have been able to see something on an ultrasound.

Should I be worried or go back to ER?

Update: Doctor called and said everything looks fine. They could locate the gestational sac.
