LOSING VIRGINITY AND TELLING PARENTS ??

Question

Hey i was planning on losing my virginity soon. Some quick info
- I have a bf of almost 2 years so yes I feel safe and he doesn't pressure me 
- I'm on birth control and my parents know it 
QUESTION: should I tell my parents or at least my mom when I lose my virginity 
My mom and I are pretty comfortable with each other and she expects me to tell her bc she hopes is have that much trust. I know that if I lie she will be very disappointed.
But If i do tell her/them I'm afraid they will be angry with me because they can't get over the fact that I'm 18 and pretty much "grown up" and that their little child is having sex (my dad already can't accept me being on birth control bc that's one step closer to having sex) 
So I want some opinions on it. 
And can anybody give me any tips for the first time like how to make it something that will remain a more good memory and not a total downfall (I know we can't really skip the awkwardness)

If you're being safe and informed there is literally NO REASON to tell your parents you're sexually active. 
Tbh if my daughter ask to be on birth control I would just assume she is ready to be sexually active, I wouldn't ask and I don't expect her to tell me either.

Frankly I think it would be disrespectful to your bf. Do you want him to talk to his parents about having sex with you? Maybe I am old fashioned, but I think consensual sex is a private and intimate thing between two people. If my husband discussed our sex life with family or friends I would feel like he broke my trust in him.

To be honest they probably already think you are having sex. But, I wouldn’t personally tell them I was going to have sex. However, I did tell my mom a few weeks after I had sex for the first time when I was 15 so I could go on birthcontrol. Otherwise I wouldn’t have opened that up as I think sex should be sacred in aspect of between you and whoever you are being with! 
As for first time advice, have a handful of condoms incase he struggles with putting one on and needs to try putting one on a few times due to nerves... also get a water based lube. Use this a lot! It will help relax a bit. Make sure there is lots of foreplay on both sides of things to make things comfortable, and start off slow! Lastly, keep your expectations low. That sounds horrible but sex isn’t going to be super easy or absolutely amazing the first little few times but it will get better every time you do it. Make sure you communicate lots with him! Yes, you will want your mom there if anything happens. Like anything I mean unplanned pregnancy, breakup, STD etc (obviously I hope nothing bad comes to you, but she will love you and she can know if you trust her)

Let me just that you are mature for your age. You are open with your mother and are here seeking advice. Apart from that you are you own person and not letting yourself be pressure by a boy. I personally lost my virginity at 26, and it was not the best experience. As for your mother, your concern should not be that your scare to upset her ( that would be her problem), it should be whether you feel and want to be open with her. Is she able to have an healthy reaction to your decision?

I don’t think there’s any reason to go out of your way to tell either of them unless they ask. Since you’re on birth control and have a long term boyfriend they probably assume it already.

Tell your mom if you want to and if you don't feel comfortable, then don't. You're an adult at 18 years old and your life and choices are just that, yours! Be careful, use common sense and don't be pressured by ANYONE, including your parents. Xx
