36 weeks measuring 39cm! Anyone else?

Hi ladies, just had my apt 36 week. Midwife said I’m measuring 39cm, kind of concerned that she had such a big growth spurt. At 34 wks she measured 34cm. what could cause such a jump? I did eat a bit more probably throughout the holidays, but nothing crazy. I really hope she’s not a huge baby, will be getting an ultrasound next week. What’s been your experiences?

21 weeks I was 25 cm, 25 weeks I was 28cm, now at 28 weeks I’m 33 cm. The same thing happened with my son, once I had a big jump in measurements he ordered a growth ultrasound. Everything was fine he was just big which I’m sure this One is too.

Doctors told me that I was 35 weeks and measuring 39 so I had a scan. 
Turns out it was just the way baby was laying when they measured. 
According to my scan Baby is in the 50-75th percentile which is fine ❤️ 
I wouldn’t look into it as much. Your scan is more accurate than measuring tape even though your scan is also a few hundred grams off at times

Baby’s position can effect the fundal height measurements. That’s why they look at the trend over several appts not just 1 measurement.
And once you drop & baby is engaged, your fundal height will decrease too (usually)

Honestly I think she measured me wrong bc of the babies position, she was tight up at the top. Cuz later my stomach softened, and at home I’m measuring no more than 36 myself 🤔 weird

I was measuring 3 weeks ahead also since 32 weeks. Didn’t mean much, I just grew quite a bit.
