Tubal Ligation

I'm really excited about this procedure! My doctor cleared me to get my fallopian tubes completely removed instead of tied. I have bad reactions to birth control pills and I do not like the idea of implants. So, I opted for a tubal ligation as a permanent means to ensure I do not ever have to risk having another child. I'm very excited about the procedure, however, I would like to hear from someone who has had it done. How was recovery? Did you have any lasting side effects?
