Questions for moms who are more stricter and extra cautious on infants- When does a babies immune system fully mature?

Please no judgment. But I’am a more cautious and anxious mother. Meaning i’am the type that doesn’t want anyone around because i’am scared if they were recently sick it could be dangerous to my infant etc...

A immune system is never fully developed, it is constantly changing and learning to fight new viruses.  Children’s immune systems get stronger everyday by being exposed to new things. Kids typically have a good immune system by age 5 but not as good as an adults until puberty. 
 
I definitely agree that the first few weeks of life everyone should wash hands before holding baby and anyone with visible cold Symptoms should respectfully keep away until 6 months. Everybody carries germs all the time even if they don’t feel sick, being exposed to those germs can sometimes help prepare baby for when they do get sick. 
Also if you plan on breastfeeding, your body senses when baby has been exposed to illnesses and moms milk sends white blood cells and antibodies to help baby days before showing symptoms. Breast milk in some cases actually keeps baby from getting sick at all while baby’s immune system still gets practice for the next time.

They are around pathogens as soon as they leave the womb. So from birth they are exposed to germs and are building an immune system. Yes they are more fragile so young but they are not completely helpless. Sickness is just something that happens in life. Of course keep sick people away and wash your hands often but that’s about all we can do.
