When to have sex while TTC?

I've read so many different opinions so I want to ask you ladies who have successfully gotten pregnant! When do you believe you conceived? Was it on your ovulation day, a couple days before? I've read you can conceive up to 5 days after sex so it could be better to have sex a few days before ovulation but not sure how much science is behind this theory.

I would say that depends on the environment of your vagina. If it’s acidic sperm may not live that long. Some people say to have sex every other day. That way your husband doesn’t get tired when the right time comes & the sperm don’t have to live as long. I got pregnant on the 15th day of my cycle. We were being relaxed about birth control. I didn’t know much about fertility & thought it was an unlikely day to conceive. So we used condoms until a few days before my next “period”. Turns out that period was bleeding from a tubal pregnancy. Knowing I used protection after day 15 of my cycle tells me the exact day I conceived. It might not be day 15 next time so I will be sure to have intercourse frequently when trying.
