When does milk come in?

How long after giving birth until milk comes in? What do you do until then?

Several days. Until then you let baby nurse every couple of hours. Baby gets the colostrum and lets your breasts know how much milk to make. Baby has a tiny tummy anyway and doesn't need much to eat for several days.
