Full bladder??

Do I need a full bladder for my 20 week ultrasound?

Answer

Yes you do, except it’s a TVS. 
You are however allowed to pee a little if you’re really pressed before the scan starts.

I did mine yesterday and didn’t need one.

I had mine yesterday was told don’t need one and they managed to get a good view with no issues

My dr informed me that a full bladder helps them see more. He was super appreciative and said it was an easier scan because of it!

Yes but for me they asked me to let some out. And then half way through empty my bladder lol baby was sitting too high and all balled up.
Since the baby is above the pelvic bone, it’s not AS necessary to have a full bladder BUT I would still go with a full bladder just in case. Doesn’t hurt!

With my first I was told it's unnecessary because of the amniotic fluid

I did except halfway through she had me empty my bladder because baby was squished 😂

I didn’t but they didn’t tell that so I went with a full bladder and sheslike are you okay your bladder is getting pretty full haha
