Waxing while pregnant?

TMI but I’m getting hairy down there and I’m way to lazy/don’t have the energy to get everything (I’m only 21 weeks now.) I’m fine with being hairy now but before baby comes I’d like to get everything waxed. First off, it’s safe right? And second, what week would be best to get it done? I was thinking 36 or 37?

I’ve been getting mine done regularly. I would start now. When it’s super grown out it hurts more. Start now and keep up with the maintenance.

It is safe, but it gives you a bunch of little openings for infection (especially the first time), so you want to give those time to heal before delivery. It is also the most painful the first time, so you want to do one or two rounds to get the hair follicles used to it. I would be worries the pain or shock could throw you into early labor if your first time was at 37 weeks. Also the waxer doesn't want you coming in full bush. They expect their clients to make regular appointments or to trim prior to arriving. I agree with the other comment that you should start now if you're going to do it, but I would add that your doctor doesn't care about your hair, so make sure you're doing this for you.
