Is it safe to not use a condom?

It’s been a few months since ive gotten my Skyla iud. And I’m worried about pregnancy. Do I need to use a condom or am I safe to go?

Iuds are over 99% effective. Ive had mirena 1.5 years we dont use condoms or pull out and i havent gotten pregnant. When i used mini oills for 2 years we didnt use condoms or pull out and i never got pregnant, slightly less effective. I always think its weird when ppl use condoms with the implant or iud. It seems like thats the point of them. I also used just condoms for 3 years and never got pregnant. Check your strings monthly to make sure its in place.

Answer

Use a condom. You still run the risk of pregnancy even with an IUD. If you don’t want a baby, take all the precautions you can.
