Flu shot? Helpppp

So my sweet girl is 18 months old and we’ve never given her the flu shot. This year I’m considering it only because we are the 2nd state that has it the worse this year we know about 10 people that have it already. I guess I just need some help figuring out if it’s worth giving it to her or not. I feel like I don’t know enough. And I also am having another baby in February so should that be more of a reason for her to get it????

The flu kills people. If you/your child/your family members are medically able to receive vaccinations, then get the flu shot. 
Protect yourselves, and protect those most vulnerable who might not be able to receive vaccinations.

My whole family gets the flu shot every year.
Getting the flu shot doesn’t mean that you are fully 100% protected against the flu - the vaccine is meant to lessen the severity of the symptoms of the flu if you do get. I’d take a fever and body aches for a few days over dehydration and hospitalization any day.

I would do it. My sister in law got it for her baby, he's only 8 months. I would do it, it's better than your baby dying. Remember when the flu used to kill lots of people? And kids and the elderly are still at a much bigger risk

We have given it to her each year. Although I believe it’s worth it and highly recommend it, you should speak to the pediatrician. 
I work in a hospital and she’s at daycare, so I just don’t want to risk it 🤷🏼‍♀️she got the flue one year and I just felt awful, but it was so mild because she got the vaccine.

I got my sons first one when he was 7 months. I got the flu shot when pregnant with my first and would have with my second if they were available during that time.

I got it for my son who will be 2 in February and myself as I'm due in February also. This is the first time him or I have gotten it but the flu is so bad and so dangerous to children that I felt like it was a no brainer. I stay home with him so he's not in daycare but we do go to the park and anytime we go out people are coughing and sneezing so the extra protection is needed. He had absolutely no reaction and didn't even flinch when they gave it to him.

Do you or your family have any type of vaccine reaction or anything? If not, then I’d get it. I get one, and my two year old does to. We never have any side effects, so there’s no reason for us Not to get it.
