Dont wait- share my story- long but learned something
Hello ladies. I just wanted to share my story of the week, because im one to usually wait it out. To start with im 31 weeks with twins
Well sunday I started having to pee more at first thought ok my girl twin just pushing on bladder, well monday comes and full blast its a uti. Got the pressure when peeing, peeing only tiny bit and back pain. I am very prone to uti so thought Id just see if could flush it out with water and take some Azo meds to help symptoms. Tuesday comes and azo meds isnt doing anything (new year eve) so i figured if not better wednesday id go to clinic. Monday and Tuesday night I didnt sleep at all, so wednesdsy hubby got off till 2 then went to clinic. So they hook me up mo itors got urnine and blood etc. So my numbers come back and i had 12,000 wbc and if you dont know thats VERY VERY high, i was basicslly just peeing puss and it didnt look like urnine either, never seen it that color or thickness, anyways so they decide to keep me overnight for iv antibitoics, no biggie WRONG!!! Around midnight the infection made my uterus start to contract and was having contractions every 2 to 3 minutes, and they hurt like hell because everything down there wad already swollen. So they checked me which i screamed through because of swelling and was 1cm dilated and 90% effaced, so that met a 2am ambulance ride hour and half away to the hospital i plan to deliver at that has a nicu (i live in small town) so off i go. They placed a cath for the ambulance ride which was worst they could of done. It created worse contractions and bladder spasms so bad i peed stound the cath about every 5 to 10 minutes the whole way down, i get to big hospitsl they clean me up remove the cath thank god, and get me hooked up and start a magnesium drip. Let me tell you that med was horrible. Was on it from thur am till this morning and i couldnt eat made me so sick, couldnt walk because made me so dizzy and weak. Thankfully it slowed my contractions down and now havent had one all morning. I am off the magnesium and able to go home tonight thankfully. During this whole mess the twins did great thankfully, but i learned what a simple infection can do in our body and how fast it can progress, next time not going to wait and go straight in. Just wanted to share what i went through and if you feel off go to doctors better safe then sorry (also wrote on ohone so sorry for spelling mistakes)
