Clomid and waiting for period but spotting

So this is my second month of doing clomid and I was supposed to start 3 days ago but never did I haven’t had any cramping or anything but I have however spotted since the day my period was supposed to start (the 1st) but it’s only been a little when I wipe.. do I consider that a period and start my clomid on day 5 or does it need to be a heavy flow?
