Colic or normal?

FTM and LO is 2 weeks 3 days and is so fussy in the afternoons. How do I know if it’s colic or normal behavior? Nothing soothes her except breastfeeding and then she won’t stay asleep. We just gave her a pacifier today because we couldn’t calm her down, but it’s not something I want to continue because I worry about nipple confusion. Any suggestions?

My first was the same. There are certain criteria for how long the fussiness lasts, etc., to call it “colic”, but with my daughter I decided ultimately it doesn’t really matter if she meets the diagnosis or not. The outcome is the same-there’s nothing you can really do but wait it out until they outgrow it whether it’s just normal fussiness or colic.

How long in the afternoon is she fussy for?  Could be your little ones witching hour.  Every evening around the same time our baby is super fussy and wants to nurse non stop.

Have you tried putting her in a swaddle style carrier (like a boba carrier) and going for a walk?  Works kike a charm to sooth ours at that fussy point.

Glad I’m not alone my god sometimes I don’t even know if it my breast milk or what and she does not like to sleep in her crib she hate the swing haven’t had no sleep since she been born can’t wait to it’s over I love her to death I just hate when she cry’s and gets so fussy to the point I don’t know what else to do.

More than likely witching hour. Our LO is awful with it. Everyday by like 6/7pm she becomes a crying mess. Nothing you do soothes her. It takes so much to get her to relax and it usually only lasts a few minutes before she’s crying again.
