What foods should I feed my 6 month old?

I got the okay to start in solids!! I’m excited, but need suggestions on what to make my babe. I can’t even make up my mind on what I want to eat everyday! Lol

We started our little one with avocados!  
But honestly, any purées from a fruit or vegetable will do. Just make sure it’s one item and you stick with that one item for a week or two before introducing a new food.

Baby can have anything you're eating. There's no need to make it complicated lol our daughter's first meal was scrambled eggs and strawberries. For lunch that day she had a peanut butter sandwich and then for dinner, I believe it was chicken, steamed carrots and sweet potatoes. No purees here at all as they don't help them developmentally in any way. Teeth are irrelevant as well and you don't have to stick to the same food for x days before introducing a new one. If you did that, then it would literally take you a year to introduce every food lol there's no need.

Always start with vegetables. If you start them on fruit and the sweeter things they will never want the veggies!!

Butternut squash, sweet potato purée is what I always start with after rice or oatmeal cereal. 
Mix in some blueberries and broccoli

We started with organic veggies. We did single ingredient purées. We have a smoothie blender so I just cooked the veggies we were eating (no salt or seasoning for the baby) added filtered water and blended it until it was smooth. You don’t have to cook avocado or banana. Some other fruits you can skip cooking if you want to as long as you purée it really well. You can also just buy the jars of stage 1 foods. Try each for for at least 3 days in a row to rule out any allergies or sensitivities. Once you do that and your little one is eating well with no issues you can move on to combination foods. It’s always good to check with your pediatrician what they recommend for your baby.
