Whe do you get your baby at night?

My little guy is 7 weeks old and sleeps 4-5 hours in his first sleep stretch then is up every 1-2. I usually get him when he starts to fuss consistently but not wait until he cries. He is in a bassinet next to me so I'm not sleeping while he fusses. When do you get your little up to eat/diaper change? Do you change the diaper with every feed?

I get him once he gets pretty fussy, nurse till he falls asleep, diaper change to wake him up a bit, then nurse again. That way he is getting full and sleeps longer!

I set a timer for every 3 hours to get up and feed my son. Sometimes I wake him and at other times he wakes me before time is up.   He is 10 days old.

We do diaper change then nurse. It wakes him up to nurse and then when he nursed back to sleep I can let him stay asleep. But we get lots of snuggles when he decides 3am is time to wake up.

I nurse, burp, change diaper, then nurse on the other side.

Even if she's only wet I change her at this point since its hard to tell if she's poopy or not at 2 weeks!

When my baby would cry and i knew she was hungry i would feed her then burp her and wait til she pooped cause every time she was done eating she pooped right away

I wait until she starts crying or is just about to cry, because sometimes she falls back asleep. I don't change the diaper unless it's poopy because they are made to hold urine away from the skin and don't cause a problem if left on while wet. We live in a fantastic time for great baby products!
