I will be having my baby shower soon. My parents are paying for the place / food. We are just doing it easy and paying a restaurant to cater . It is $16/ person to eat. I did not get a graduation party nor did I get a big wedding. It only cost my dad like $300.

Anyways, I’m just wondering how your mother in law helped with your baby shower costs?

I know my dad doesn’t expect MIL to pay for the shower but should I be nervous about asking her to get a cake for the party?
