Where did you deliver and what did you think?

I just found out I’m pregnant with my second child and will not be going back to Texas Women’s Hospital this time around. My experience with the labor and delivery was excellent... my experience with a NICU  nurse was so horrible I just don’t feel comfortable being there again. I live on the Southeast side of Houston so I’ve been considering Houston Methodist Childbirth Center at Clear Lake, HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake, or Texas Children's Pavilion for Women. I’m interested to hear other hospital options or would love to hear your opinions if you have experience with the three I’ve mentioned. Thanks ladies 😊🙏

I was supposed to deliver at MH Pearland but they closed labor and delivery at the end of October and I was due early November. The only other hospital that my doctor delivered at was St Joseph’s. We absolutely loved it. They have an upgraded room that is huge- includes meals for your significant other, snacks, a robe and slippers, nicer sheets and towels...for sure worth it. All of the nurses were incredible. We did not have any experience with the NICU so I can’t speak on that.

No other suggestions but will agree that the NICU at Texas Woman’s does not have the best nursing staff mainly bc they’re understaffed. After my baby got a diaper rash, I made sure to come to the NICU daily until she was released almost a month later.

I delivered my 1st at clear lake regional and had the best experience. My son was in the NICU for a few weeks and the hospital let me stay in my room a few extra days and the nurses were so helpful and loving. The volunteers were great in the NICU they knitted all sorts of things for my little boy. The maternity ward has only private rooms. I have the pamphlet if you would like me to take pics. And as you can tell I'm having my 2nd there any day now.

We used Children’s memorial Herman in the end center and had a great experience. We will be staying closer to home this time and are going to use HCA Clear Lake.

I have and will be giving birth again at Texas children's Women Pavilion I LOVE THE DRS ALSO my experience there they are very educational when it comes to alot of stuff you don't know I love it there ... Will be delivering there in 3wks from now 😊😊

I was at North Houston Birthing Center. I’m terrified of epidurals, so I decided after going to Memorial Herman a few months, that I would switch to a Birthing center. I took a tour and loved that the experience was more personable and I appreciated the fact that ALL my questions were answered. I didn’t feel rushed or like a number. And when it was time, they took great care of me and allowed everything to happen naturally without force.
