I was going to plan it with my sisters help but got overwhelmed and now she’s planning it with my help. It’s pretty nice. She just picks things out and I say yes or no instead of me stressing and trying to pick things out myself. I’m a control freak so it’s nice to know what she’s doing and what she’s planning and being able to have a say with out needed to do anything.

My friends are planning it all. I have enough responsibilities at work (high school teacher and I sponsor 2 clubs) so it is nice to let someone else take the wheel.

I know my mom wants to throw it for me but she hasn’t mentioned anything to me in months! This is my rainbow baby. I lost my first pregnancy at 8 weeks. I want to have it early-ish incase little girl decides to come early so I’ll be ready no matter the time. My schedule comes out 3 weeks in advance as well so I need to have a date and no one talks about it. My mom got upset that we bought a crib because they wanted to buy it so we returned it and bought the travel system I wanted. She got mad about that saying it’s bad luck. I don’t think she realizes how far along I am and it’s upsetting me because I hate relying on others. I’d rather buy everything myself so I know what I have or will need. 😭

My sister won’t pick a date or plan anything so part of me is like “well I’ll just do it myself” but I’m giving her time..

I gave my mom, and best friend a typed out list of all the details MONTHS ago. It included the menu, the time, place, the theme if it was a boy or girl (we didn’t know at the time what I was having), and approx how many people I already had on my list. 🤷🏾‍♀️ it was a bit anal I know, but like I told my mom, at least you’ll know I’ll be happy with it! 😂

I made invites but I’m trying to stay out of it!! I really want to help do everything but I want to respect that they are throwing it for me! We are having a rainbow themed baby shower!
