My 4.5 month old will nap in his crib 1-3x/day... we’re debating transitioning him to sleep in his crib in his room or deconstructing it and moving it to our room. He still gets more upset when he’s put down in his crib vs his little cosleeper bed 
But we’re struggling with early morning wakings and am wondering if the nursery is darker and quieter (dogs sleep in our room) and will maybe keep him asleep later

Yes, since day 1, in his own room. In the last month we've transitioned to naps in the crib too!
