Splenectomy
Hi everyone 👋🏽
I was recently diagnosed with a rare blood disorder called ITP, where I have a low platelet count. My doctor is suggesting a splenectomy, but I’m not sure I want to proceed with that.
Has anyone had a splenectomy before? What are the pros and cons (in your personal experience)?
