Recently I had a conversation with my SO about his financials. Basically he didn't want to go full time into work because he didn't believe he had to and wanted to "relax". He currently works 3 days a week. He doesn't have his own place, nor much of a desire to get his own place and said he'll wait another 5 months before looking for one. He currently lives with a family member and has been for 5 months.

I told him that his current working style is not helping him afford anything more than the bare minimum. After the discussion he said he would speak to his boss about going full time on Tuesday.

This morning he comes to me and asks if I wanted to go get food. He said "I have 50 dollars" so I asked him "and that's all you'll have til you get paid thursday?" So he said "Yes. I'll spend 20 in gas which will cover work on Tues and wed then turn in cans if I need to for gas on Thursday". I told him that this is what I meant by him not being able to afford things. He got angry and said "forget it then" and has barely spoken to me since.

Did I do something wrong here?
