A few years ago, our goal was to either be married by or get married in 2020. Now that the new year has died down a little, I’ve been trying to discuss wedding planning with my fiancé but he seems uninterested unless it’s about the budget.

If I bring up money or the budget, he’ll bust out the pen and paper but as soon as I talk about s scheduling venue tours, picking a date, asking the wedding party, etc., he seems extremely uninterested and kind of shuts down.

I’m not sure what’s going on. The other day, I asked him if he just wanted to elope and skip having a wedding and he said “absolutely not, we need to have an actual wedding”. So why doesn’t he wanna talk details?

I asked him if we should postpone a wedding until 2021 maybe if he was worried about costs, etc. and he said no, that’s too far away. I’m starting to get stressed because dates, venues and vendors book up fast and we’re going to miss out, or maybe it’s even more than that and he doesn’t want to marry me after all? Then why even propose? I don’t know what to think about his attitude.
