Frozen milk?

Just getting back to work after maternity leave! I have almost 550oz frozen (thank you haakaa!). I guess I’m not sure when we should use the frozen milk if I’m pumping while at work for that milk to go with him to daycare the next day. Any advice?

You can freeze breast milk for 12months. So whenever!

Use the oldest milk first (so your frozen stash) and then freeze the milk you pump during the day. If baby is sick, then send the milk you pumped (bc it adjusts to help baby recover), and once baby is feeling better, go back to your oldest milk (frozen stash).

You want baby to have the freshest milk possible with the frozen as a backup :) pump one day for the next day.  That way baby gets all the antibodies from you from whatever sickies you might come across.

I am in the same spot!! I wanted to use oldest first and replace with what I pump at work. But then I was worried about the antibodies and sickness. I might do half frozen and half fresh for daycare? Ugh! I don’t know what’s right haha
