I think it’s cute! And I hate when people say “that’s a dogs name”, when literally you can name your dog Brian or Kevin or Lucy or Molly. People have said that about my sons name too, his name is Cooper. Just go with what YOU like.

I have a cat named Eleanor and it’s not even shortened to Ellie. We simply call her Eleanor and that’s the most human name ever. Lol I’ve seen more people name their daughters Scout than dogs. I think it will be fine & I think it’s cute!!

I've never met a human with this name, so it sounds more like a dog's name to me. But I also have a cat named Alice, so... who's to say any certain name is not a human or animal name? I've personally never met a human named Scout, but I've also never met another animal named Alice. lol
