My bestie used to date a guy who was 10 years older than her, I was totally against it but she just told me it was fine and that she was happy. Problem was she was 16 and he was 26!!!😡 I'm so glad they broke up, only dating for one year. He was very possessive and took advantage of her, he threatened her multiple of times and made her feel like nothing without him in her life. He always thought that buying her expensive gifts would make things better which it did for a short amount of time but it was a very unhealthy cycle. He once said to her if she could drop out of high school and just live with him, that's where he crossed the line and that's how they broke up. I was so happy for my friend because she was assertive and realised that no man has the right to treat a minor that way, let alone date one!!! FFS. I'm so glad she found a better boyfriend and one who is her age, she's doing so well and I'm so proud of her to leave that asshole. I feel like teenage girls should be dating teenage boys not men in their late 20s, it's wrong on so many levels. It's better for a 25 year old woman to date a 35 year old man as they are full adults and would have the same morals and they can financially support themselves with good jobs. I hope you all agree with my rant. I say NO to minors dating older men.
