Best pull up nappies?

Question

I’ve always happily used Sainsbury’s or ALDI taped nappies with no issues but we’ve recently switched to the ALDI pull ups because the fit of taped on my 18 month old was starting to look a bit uncomfortable, but he’s always soaked through if he’s had it on all night or even a long daytime nap. 
Are pull ups generally less absorbent? I’d not mind switching to a taped at night but do prefer pull ups in all other respects. 
Any other supermarket brands any good?

Pull up are rubbish they don’t hold the wee. I brought the ASDA ones with our daughter to see if they improved from 5yr ago. But nope wast of money.lol Normal nappies till potty training then I would completely miss out pull up, best to leave baby naked pants off around the house. 👍🏻

I always go back to Pampers pants but get them on Amazon in bulk they're so much cheaper.

We have tried so many different shops/brands including Asda, Aldi, Lidl, pampers and settled for Tesco's Fred and Flo pull ups which are really absorbent and very reasonable priced if you buy in bulk😊

Thanks all, it’s such a shame, they’re marketed as an alternative to taped when babies become ‘wriggly’ but it seems they’re more a transition to potty training. 
Taped just look so uncomfortable on my toddler these days as he moves about, the front end up bunching up under his clothes.

My 20 month daughter wears asda pull ups overnight and only occasionally leaks (but she prefers them as she’s fully potty trained) we use them for long car journeys too and they are the best we’ve found unless you want to pay out for pampers (which we tried and they never leaked) unfortunately they just aren’t as good for absorption but are more comfy 🤷🏽‍♀️

They are much less absorbent than normal ones. ASDA little angels were ok but you we didn’t bother it was more of a hinder
For him than a hell. So we just went straight to pants and it worked amazing but every child is different. 
Pulls up are best when their normal nappies are basically dry all day and they are using the potty or toilet a little at least , but my son knew if he felt the feel of a nappy (the pull up) he didn’t have to actually use the potty , once we took that away he was much better
