Am I being treated like a child?

So I’m pretty clumsy and I tend to make messes. I’m a stay at home mom and my husband makes the money 
Well the other day he bought me 2 joggers from old navy that were like 60$ total. 
I wore them as soon as I got home and needed to change to comfy clothes and he told me to take them off because he just bought them and didn’t want me to ruin them.
Honestly I can’t help myself and it runs in my family. It’s not really that bad but I understand why he would say that.
I don’t go many places besides home anyway
Do you think I’m being treated like a child?

I think it is odd but I also understand his point. 
There also comes a point where you can not just say "I'm just clumsy" when you ruin things and make messes. You have to make a point to be aware of what you are doing and fix the messes.

Going against the crowd, but he bought you joggers? They were for you, yours? Great, that means they are YOURS. He doesn’t control when you wear which clothes. Sure, they’re new. But hey, if you’re gonna ruin them now, you’re going to ruin them in the future. There is such a thing called a washer, a dryer, and stain remover.

Think about this way, if the roles were reversed and he was the clumsy one, and you bought HIM like a new shirt/pants whatever, would you have made the same comment? It all depends on your relationship. If you feel like you’re being treated in a way you don’t like, voice your opinion. You’re allowed to have conflicted views on things, even if it’s as tiny as ruining a pair of joggers.

Maybe work on yourself. And be more aware of what you're doing and stuff. And maybe he won't talk that way

I think it's fair for him to want you to show more care with new things. I would suggest enrolling in a dance class. I was a very clumsy child. My parents put me in dance and I now have much better body control and awareness.

I’m sorry, but they are JOGGERS. Did he expect you to just put them in closet and never be worn at  all because you might “ruin” them? If he didn’t want you to “ruin” them then he should not have bought them in the first place. Who buys someone clothes, then says they can’t wear them?

I mean he bought them for you knowing that they might get ruined and then decides to tell you when you can wear them too?
Like yes get ahold of your clumsiness, but also he shouldn't buy you pants and then make you feel bad about how you choose to wear them
