We saw the movie joker, and I loved it personally, and plus my husband always joked he’s the “joker” and I’m his Harley Quinn... well, watched it and now I see why he jokes about t😂
I don’t know where to post this!

Girl this is so much better than any movie with joker I really love how it explains his life and why infact he was he was I really loved how the topic of the movie was mental health and how mental health plays such a huge roll in peoples lives

I think it was the best movie I’ve seen in a long time and it’s a movie people need to see the message of loud and clear! I work with teens with special needs and they fall through the cracks so easily. It seems to me that people who didn’t like it are either a large part of the problem when it comes to turning their backs on people with these kinds of struggles or those who are triggered due to their own struggles (and that I totally understand). Those that wanted it banned, saying how disturbing it was, make me angry. I hope people see it and I hope it makes them uncomfortable! Mental health services are desperately needed and those budgets are slim. It was hard to watch because it was incredibly realistic and an issue in society.

We saw it the weekend it came out and let me tell you... all eyes were glued to the screen. It was amazing. My fiancé went to watch it twice more in theaters after that and we bought it on dvd the day it came out. It’s amazing. We loved it. The story line was great. It was nothing like the typical Joker. They didn’t bring Batman into it, it was all about the Joker and how he BECAME the Joker. They brought in the Wayne family and how the Batman’s parents were murdered and that’s it. No Batman himself. It focused on the Joker. I loved how they left the ending too. Was it all in his head? Was he escaping the hospital? It all depends on how you took it. Amazing movie.

Although I know why people LOVE it, I found it disturbing for those who may have a mental illness. It’s basically emphasizing on the illness and showing how people can do bad things when they don’t get the help they need. However, the movie itself is good; but I didn’t like it for the sole purpose that I have family members/loved ones who suffer depression (like the joker) and it showed the character not getting the help he needed so he kills and becomes a more worse version of himself. Again, that’s just MY opinion.

I’m a film student and from a cinematic perspective it is absolutely stunning. The contrast in Joker’s costume and makeup compared to the background is always super high and just beautiful. The music is amazing and perfectly done to convey the films message at different points and Joaquin Phoenix does the perfect Joker laugh.
