10 month leap - sleep issues
So my 10 month old is going through a leap and it's torture! She has slept in a bassinet from birth to 5 months, then we transitioned her to a crib. She's never co-slept. Well since the beginning of the leap she'll sleep in her crib from 9pm until 12 or 1 in the morning. After that, I'll put her back to sleep, put her back in her crib and she immediately sits up and cries and will not sleep in there until about 4 in the morning. Last night I gave in from being so exhausted and put her in bed with us at midnight. I don't want to make a habit of that. Has anyone been through this and have any tips on how to get through this without forming bad habits?
I should mention I tried letting her cry it out and she just cried for about 30 minutes with no sign of letting up, so I think that's not an option for her right now. Once she's out of the leap I'll consider trying that again but she gets so upset to the point of coughing and choking from crying so much.
