I have two boys and I had baby showers for both!😊 imo all baby’s deserve a celebration so baby showers should be for every baby! And all I asked for on my second was diapers!😊

I do not plan on having one for my second. I would feel weird.

We are but the kids are also 16 years apart lolI have friends who instead did a baby meet party and everyone brought a little gift but really just came to see baby and mom and celebrate. In your situation with the kids being different genders I don't see why it would be an issue having a second shower. Every baby deserves to be celebrated.

In my culture it doesn’t happen. Neither in my adopted husbands. If we have a 2nd I could possibly see a small something something with my husbands bio family bc we just met them and she didn’t get to attend our wedding or any showers. If a friend has a shower for a 2nd I don’t see it as a must attend event. Now I will give a gift - a case of diapers and an outfit. I also tell my friends I go big on the 1st baby and start weaning off the gifts for the remaining babies. But I always do something.

A baby shower is about celebrating the baby that's to come. I know people who didnt have one if they were having the same gender and did if they were different genders. If we get pregnant again I'll have another because it's a reason for my family to get together and celebrate the little baby not because I expect gifts. And people always wants to give you diapers so if you do have everything you need you can just put a diaper raffle in the invitation and not register.
