I am 23 and just made my first gynecology appointment

Please don’t judge, I just haven’t had insurance until now. I made the appointment for birth control and just a basic health check so like a Pap smear and STI testing. On god I am extremely nervous for the entire thing. There’s nothing wrong with me right now it’s just a very needed thing. I’m nervous about getting judged that I am a 23 year old woman who’s never had a Pap smear or any gyno care at all. The receptionist gave no judgement at all when I told her so I think that’s a good sign. And I am so relieved, that I’m finally able to take care of my reproductive health and figure out why my periods are so irregular.

And for the love of god, finally be able to get on birth control.

Any advice?... should I be clean shaved or? 🧐 oh yikes
