Going off the pill delayed ovulation

Just back from the doctor...

I went off the pill on December 12th and immediately got my period on the 13th.

I thought I knew when I ovulated, so when the nurse did a pregnancy test and it came back negative, I was a little disappointed.

But after a few questions from the doctor, she told me that it would have been too early to test because ovulation can be delayed a full week when coming off the pill AND that you’re most fertile those first couple months! Luckily we have sex that full week too, so I’m not out of the game yet! She said to wait another week and take a hpt. Fingers crossed! 🤞🏻
