Steroid Shot Questions

I’m currently 31.1 weeks. I had to have steroid injections to strengthen baby’s lungs due to her being small and me being diagnosed with preeclampsia. My question is has anyone ever experienced the anxiety that they say can happen with the shots? Also, after getting the first round, I woke up this morning to an hour and a half of consistent contractions, lasting 30 seconds to almost 2 minutes and would come every 2-5 minutes. Shortly after I called my nurse, they slowed to a stop but I’ve been feeling them throughout the day. The pharmacist that gave me the rounds said that the steroid basically signals your body that it’s in a state of an emergency and so that’s what causes the baby’s lungs to mature. He said from his point of view the anxiety, heart palpitations, and contractions can be very normal. 😳
