Do you throw the poop from your babies diaper in the toilet or throw it away with diaper?

Bear with me 😅 I'm honestly so curious. I was reading my daughters diaper box just out of a bit of bordum and they say on the box and read :
 IMPORTANT : Shake baby soil into  toilet. Wrap diaper inside it's backsheet before discarding. DO NOT FLUSH DIAPER. 
(I knew the last part, promise ! 😅) 
But I never really thought about it. Is there any specific reason why it should be separated ? Does anyone do this regularly/every time if a toilet is near ?

YES. omg I cloth diaper and all the moms are always like but then what do you do with the poop and I’m like WHAT DO YOU DO WITH THE POOP? It’s not supposed to go in the trash.

I have a diaper pail and that’s where the diaper goes. The wipes go into the diaper and the diaper goes into the diaper pail. It’s next to the changing table that we have.

I believe the concern with throwing away poo is water contamination. The sewer system is designed to manage human waste. The landfill system is not and water runoff filled with human waste can contaminate the water supply.

We cloth diaper so yeah, it goes in the toilet once they start solids.

I wrap the diaper up as soon as I take it off. So it’s going outside in the trash lol

When i use disposables, I do flush whatever poop will easily shake out.

Hahahaha I have always just thrown it away with the diaper and never would have thought to shake it out in the toilet 😂 Obviously with a cloth diaper you would but I never would have thought to do that with a disposable diaper.

My toddlers  most of the time goes in the toilet... my babies, I just wrap it up.

Yes! It helps so much with the smell, as long as the kids are having solid poops then there is absolutely no smell in our house. And it helps my toddler familiarize himself with the idea of flushing his poop down the toilet, we change his diaper in the bathroom and he gets to flush it.
