IVF testing (CCS) vs NIPT ?

Question

Is NIPT just as good as CCS?  I plan to have CCS  preimplantation tests done on our day 5 blastocysts if we do IVF, however we just did IUI this cycle so I may only get to do the NIPT testing. Is that still good? Or is CCS more comprehensive if we do IVF next month? Just wondering what the differences are.

I’m not sure what CCS is, but NIPT is if you are already pregnant. That is to see if your baby has markers for certain chromosomal disorders. If CCS is like PGS/PGD, it’s testing done on embryos to check for chromosomal abnormalities. If they find any, they discard those embryos.

CCS and NIPT test for the same thing and would give the same results, except you would do CCS with IVF for the embryos and NIPT you would do when you’re already pregnant via a blood test.

I’ve not heard of CCS testing...is that like the PGS testing for chromosomal anomalies?
