Anyone seen an endocrinologist for thyroid?

Michele

I’m doing ovulation induction with my fertility specialist (took December off due to chemical pregnancy, starting a new cycle in a couple days). She told me my antibodies were super high but my thyroid function was fine. Hashimotos runs in my family so this wasn’t shocking. Anyway, my gp referred me to an endocrinologist to help manage my symptoms (fatigue, brain fog, weakness/dizziness, dry skin, dark skin patches, etc).

The endocrinologist is closed for the holidays until next week but I want some advice about what I should bring with me and questions to ask. I’ve felt this way for over a yearrrrr and because my TSH was always normal I figured it was depressed or lazy or whatever so I never told a doctor about my symptoms until now. I don’t want to make that mistake again!

What paperwork from my doctors should I bring? What specific questions should I ask? What should I do if the endocrinologist says he doesn’t think there’s anything wrong with me?

Any tips are welcome 😊

(And yes I’m open to diet and lifestyle change as opposed to just being given a prescription, but I want to hear that information from a real doctor as opposed to Dr Google)
